The lighting should be natural light as much as possible (not all lit up at night). Make certain there are no dark patches where vegetation grows because this might indicate mold issues And finally ask any owners if they have taken new photos recently - many times they will update them while still being under contract.

Ask the owner or property manager any and all questions you may have.
